ALEJO: Alejo nods at Kahn and starts towards the gift shop. “You cover me at a distance when we get there. Run and get back to the ship if anything goes south.”
ALEJO: Alejo moves very fast but expects Kahn will keep pace.
STORY: Kahn takes one step with you but puts a hand on your arm, trying to stop you. “Captain.”
ALEJO: He pauses but doesn’t look at him. “Yeah.”
STORY: “Let’s go. You don’t need to do this.”
ALEJO: He spins and looks at him. His jaw is clenched tightly. He’s about to say something, then he stops. “You’re right.” He says this softly. “Lead the way. The ship.” He gives Kahn a quick smile.
STORY: Kahn relaxes, then heads off for the ship after Thasht.
ALEJO: As soon as Kahn has taken a few steps, Alejo slips away at top speed the other direction, towards the gift shop.
TUELLER: “I’m on my way. Where’s Alejo?”
TUELLER: Tueller skitter-walks the Gregor out of the Peregrine and aims for the thinnest walls between him and Millie.
STORY: There are three, Tueller!
TUELLER: “Listen for the sound of property destruction. It’s probably going to be me.”
STORY: You Kool-Aid Man through two of them. Millie, there are some faint destruction noises coming from your right.
MILLICENT: “He won’t tell me. What’s going on with him? He’s. Cold.”
TUELLER: “Tux. He takes death badly. Does stupid shit in response.”
MILLICENT: Millie taps Thasht and indicates that they should not be in the path of the tank.
STORY: Thasht gets the message and steps back as the third wall is blasted out and the Gregor greets you. It’s a little tight in these hallways, but obviously Tueller is making it work.
TUELLER: “Don’t know if it’s rage or if he goes suicidal but he makes bad choices even by his standards.”
TUELLER: “Oh, hi guys.”
MILLICENT: “Hi.” Millie waves, kind of dejectedly.
MILLICENT: “Let’s go save the day, I guess.”
TUELLER: No one knows why Tueller disappeared two months after Akilah’s failed wedding, except for Akilah, and she isn’t telling. Whatever happened, it seemed an extreme overreaction for Tueller to spend a quarter of his accumulated wealth, to create a new burner identity, and board a shuttle to the Galactic Core. Tueller occasionally talks about the two months he spent on Alchera, relating out anecdotes here or there of life on a planet with no nightfall, but neither he or Akilah ever explained why he left in such a huff.
—
STORY: You’re in a long hallway, dimly lit with the emergency lights activated. The smoking wreckage of a security droid stands at one end, with Kahn covering that direction. Jenny covers the other. Tux lays on the ground next to Millie, dead. You’re gathered in front of the door to Manaaki’s exhibit, Tueller having recovered the pilfered deck when Tux dropped it.
STORY: The sounds of battle continue all around you. At a minimum, you’ve got security drones, live guards, and what appears to be a large, organized mercenary force of unknown goals to deal with.
STORY: If they haven’t already set one, it’s likely a lockdown for all docked ships is coming. You have to get out fast if you want to keep your prize.
STORY: What do you do?
TUELLER: How big is this deck?
STORY: Textbook-sized.
TUELLER: “Doc, this is yours. Keep it safe, and we’ll keep you safe.”
TUELLER: “Out to the ship?”
MILLICENT: Millie takes the deck.
TUELLER: “I don’t need to browse the exhibits anymore.”
ALEJO: “The ship,” Alejo agrees. “Fast.” He starts in the appropriate direction, taking the lead.
TUELLER: “I’ve got the rear. Get moving.”
MILLICENT: Millie follows.
STORY: Kahn calls after you, “Cap!”
STORY: When you look back, he’s gesturing down to Tux’s body, pleading.
MILLICENT: Millie groans.
ALEJO: “No time.” Alejo says this flatly and keeps moving. “I need you up here, Kahn, with that rifle.”
MILLICENT: “Can someone else carry him?”
MILLICENT: “He deserves a proper burial.”
STORY: Kahn looks unhappy, shaking his head, and rushes up to take the front guard.
MILLICENT: “He was crew, even if it was only for a short while.”
TUELLER: “Need a gun back here with me. One bruiser, one gun at each end, sir.”
ALEJO: “This isn’t a debate. We move. Now.”
ALEJO: “Jenny, rear.”
MILLICENT: Millie’s voice is breaking.
STORY: Jenny takes your side, Tueller. She looks at you, then Alejo, then back at you.
ALEJO: “Thasht, with the doctor.”
STORY: Thasht puts a heavy arm on your shoulder, Millie, helping to guide you quickly down the hallway.
ALEJO: Alejo moves quickly and silently ahead.
TUELLER: Tueller cradles his bad hand, and keeps a move on, frequently doing a 360 spin while moving to keep an eye out for threats.
STORY: You proceed down the corridors, leaving Tux’s body behind. As you turn a corner, Alejo, you catch sight out of the corner of your eye of one of the mercs pointing a handgun at someone unseen inside one of the exhibits. There are pleading screams from within as the merc shouts orders.
STORY: What do you do?
ALEJO: Can Alejo sneak up on the merc?
STORY: You can try! If it’s just sneaking up, FA + Mettle, if you want to take his shit, Launch Assault please
ALEJO: /roll 2d6+2
STORY: ablair01 rolled 6 + 2 = 8
ALEJO: He charges, at full speed, as quietly as he can.
STORY: Ok, you can get to him unseen, but if you do so without interfering he’s going to execute whoever it is in that room.
STORY: Proceed?
ALEJO: Yes.
STORY: The merc fires and the screaming inside the room stops. You’re standing behind him.
STORY: Jenny gasps and covers her mouth, looking up at you wide eyed, Tueller.
ALEJO: Alejo snaps his neck.
STORY: He’s dead. So is the woman inside the room, shot through the forehead.
ALEJO: Alejo bends down, takes his gun and ammo and anything else useful. Then he stands and moves on, without looking at the woman for more than a second.
STORY: You’ve got a handgun and enough ammo to not worry about ammo!
MILLICENT: Millie snaps herself out of it and jogs over to he merc, looking for a communicator in his pocket, his ear, whatever
STORY: He’s got a walkie, but it’s a whole rig that you’d have to strip him of and attach with a belt and shoulder harness.
TUELLER: Tueller finally arrives and sees what’s happening, and just keeps guard on the perimeter.
MILLICENT: Millie looks to Tueller, Kahn, and Jenny, avoiding Alejo. “Knife?” She holds out a hand.
STORY: Thasht followed you over, Millie, and she hands you a small knife from her belt.
ALEJO: Alejo pauses, glancing back to watch her for a second, but he remains focused on the next room, looking for the next obstacle.
MILLICENT: Millie cuts the walkie free and turns the volume down, scanning the radio, but trying to avoid letting loud bursts give them away
ALEJO: As soon as the walkie is free, he gestures to Kahn to get them all moving. Then he turns and continues.
STORY: Kahn leads the way.
STORY: Tueller, as you close out the rear, you hear a scream, high pitched and urgent, behind you. You turn to see a security guard for the museum pointing his weapon at a merc, who is holding a young child in front of him as a shield. The kid screams, struggling, unable to escape.
STORY: What do you do?
TUELLER: Tueller taps Jenny as he takes off towards the merc, intent on freeing the kid.
TUELLER: Preferably through merc murder, but that’s not the priority.
STORY: Jenny is extremely torn on what to do, but looks up at the rest of the crew and calls out. “Thasht. Heads up.” She follows you.
STORY: Let’s have a Launch Assault on this situation!
TUELLER: /roll 2d6+2
STORY: chris.stuart rolled 4 + 2 = 6
STORY: Oh dear.
TUELLER: Tueller’s not doing great this outing.
STORY: You rush the merc, who sees you and throws the kid towards you to try to fend you off. The guard, not seeing you, takes this as a hostile action and opens fire, killing the merc and the kid, then whips around to see you. As he trains his gun on you, you hear pops from behind you and turn back to see Jenny saving your ass. The security guard hits the ground and she looks down at the kid, then back up at you, shaking her head. “Shit.”
STORY: You both turn back up the corridor towards where your group was headed and – double shit, they’re gone.
STORY: Millie, you’re the new rear guard. You pop the walkie earpiece in your ear and start listening – the chatter is weird. Give me an Assessment + Mettle please
TUELLER: Tueller pats Jenny on the shoulder with his good arm. “Thanks. That…yeah, shit.”
TUELLER: “Gotta try, though.”
STORY: Jenny nods, avoiding looking back down at the bodies.
MILLICENT: /roll 2d6 + 2
STORY: josh rolled 7 + 2 = 9
TUELLER: “We both know the way back. Gotta assume Alejo’s going straight for it.” Tueller shrugs. “We’ll catch up, or we’ll hear them. Kahn’s rifle has that pop, you know?”
TUELLER: “Like a zing.”
STORY: Millie, you slow down as you follow Alejo, concentrating on separating the orders from the chatter, trying to gain anything useful – then it comes. Some of the voices are being ordered back to a command center, to the merc’s leadership – and you now have the location.
STORY: Where are they?
MILLICENT: Gift shop
STORY: The one Alejo was in? There are more than one.
MILLICENT: Near the entrance, the one that connects to the main hallways
STORY: What do you do with that information?
MILLICENT: Millie holds up one hand and waves it frantically, trying to stop the creeping around
MILLICENT: But quietly
TUELLER: “Millie we got disconnected; if you see a sign as to where you are we’ll catch up with you” Tueller says into the comms.
STORY: Alejo, are you looking behind you?
ALEJO: Alejo is focused mostly on what’s in front, but he is glancing back occasionally. He pauses. “Jesus,” he whispers, gesturing for Kahn to take the lead position. He moves back to Millie. “What’s up?” He asks quietly.
ALEJO: He notices Tueller and Jenny are missing. “Where the fuck did they go?” He says mostly to himself. Then he looks at Millie.
MILLICENT: “Merc headquarters is in the main gift shop, the one that connects the central hallways.”
MILLICENT: “Tueller and Jenny broke off and are asking for a landmark.”
ALEJO: He squints. “Tell them to take the quickest route to the ship.” He pauses. “You need to get that deck safe.” He says this to Millie. “Tux died for that. That’s the mission, alright?” He hands the pistol to Thasht. “Get her to the ship, safe.”
ALEJO: He then gestures to Kahn.
STORY: Thasht nods, all business, and looks down at Millie. “Are you ready to run?”
MILLICENT: “Not as fast as you! Give me a moment.”
ALEJO: “You’re with me. We’re going to the main gift shop.” He looks back to Thasht and Millie. “We’re not at the ship, you get free before it’s locked down. We’ll buy you time.”
MILLICENT: To Tueller, “Soto says take the fastest route to the ship. We’ll meet you there.”
MILLICENT: Millie nods, looks away.
TUELLER: “Okay. You get in trouble, fire off three shots and we’ll find you. Can’t run towards all gunfire, but we’ll run to you.”
STORY: Millie, Thasht grabs your arms with her two right-side arms and leans over, throwing you onto her shoulder, then takes off sprinting down a hallway.
STORY: Alejo, what doing?
STORY: Tueller! You know you’ve taken a wrong turn, but you have no idea where. You and Jenny are moving quickly and carefully, checking around corners before stepping out, doing efficient soldier stuff. You check a corner and see a merc standing before one of the larger exhibits remove something handheld from his belt – not a gun, a small metal can.
TUELLER: Tueller turns to Jenny, and puts up his good hand to say “halt,” then shrugs, and does a “pulling pin on grenade” gesture, then a unsure wobbling hand. He then pokes his head back around for a moment to check.
STORY: Yep, it’s for sure a grenade, and he’s ready to toss it, but looks hesitant from his body language.
TUELLER: Tueller points to Jenny and does a “shooting” gesture, then points around the corner.
TUELLER: Tueller then points to himself, and does a squaking hand gestures, and then starts to count down from three on his fingers.
STORY: Ooh! Let’s do a Command check.
TUELLER: /roll 2d6
STORY: chris.stuart rolled 4
STORY: Jenny nods, seriouses up, leans out and pops two rounds toward the merc, but misses. He turns back, alarmed, and immediately pulls the pin and tosses the grenade at you two. What do you do?
TUELLER: Tueller is a more than a little fazed because, well, he thought he clearly communicated he would yell a distraction, but he tries to scoop up the grenade and toss it back.
STORY: All right! Please don’t die! This is a FA + Mettle, I think.
TUELLER: I’m going to use a close-up!
TUELLER: /roll 2d6+2
STORY: chris.stuart rolled 10 + 2 = 12
STORY: You toss it back and it explodes midair. You see the merc turn into pink mist for the briefest moment before you and Jenny are both knocked back against the opposite wall.
TUELLER: “Ooof. Forgot I wasn’t a lefty.”
STORY: Millie! You’re being carried fireman-style seven feet in the air. What do you do?
MILLICENT: Is there room to open the deck and take a look at it’s OS? Verify it?
STORY: You might drop it, but sure, you can try!
MILLICENT: I’ll try to make myself a little more comfortable and make the dropping a little less of a risk
STORY: Okay, FA + Mettle to see if you can get the thing open, please!
MILLICENT: I think I’m going to just hold on securely and keep an eye open for a museum terminal instead
STORY: All right!
STORY: Thasht runs past a few open wall terminals.
MILLICENT: Millie bangs on her carapace.
MILLICENT: “Hang on, just a second.”
MILLICENT: “Stop, Thasht, please and thank you.”
STORY: That’s a Command!
MILLICENT: /roll 2d6
STORY: josh rolled 9
STORY: All right! She slows, then stops, letting you down. “This is the only delay, Dr. Breedlove. Proceed.”
STORY: She holds the pistol ready, scanning the hallway up and down.
MILLICENT: “Oh good, yes. Cover me? I guess?”
MILLICENT: Millie slides up to the wall terminal and attempts to hack into the security system.
STORY: That’s an Access!
MILLICENT: /roll 2d6 + 2
STORY: josh rolled 8 + 2 = 10
STORY: Credentials verified, access granted.
STORY: What do you want to do?
MILLICENT: First I want a little info on those bots guards. How smart are they?
MILLICENT: Can I identify us as friends and send them throughout the museum looking for our people to act as guards?
STORY: They’re fairly automated. Definitely not AI, just there to subdue and suppress any threats. Authorized to use deadly force if a deadly threat is detected.
STORY: You can try!
MILLICENT: Okay!
STORY: (FA + Interface)
MILLICENT: When you Access a system, choose a behavior that the system could perform and a condition that will trigger that behavior.
MILLICENT: The behavior the security bots will perform is to follow and guard my crew and the condition that will trigger that behavior is spotting them.
MILLICENT: It’s my Technocrat power
STORY: You’re going to have to program it to recognize your crew first, then you can set that up
MILLICENT: /roll 2d6 + 2
STORY: josh rolled 7 + 2 = 9
STORY: Okay, in the time you’ve got before getting locked out, you can set up three identities for the bots to consider friendly.
STORY: Who do you assign?
MILLICENT: THREE?
STORY: Yep!
MILLICENT: Kahn, Jenny and Tueller. Alejo has enhancements and has Kahn with him.
STORY: Done!
MILLICENT: Millie allows herself to be picked back up and transmits to all four individually, “Heads up. The security bots should see most of us as friendly. Soto, you’ll have to keep your head down.”
STORY: Speaking of – Soto, what are you up to?
ALEJO: Heading to the command ops, super fast and super stealthily.
TUELLER: Nice time to have multiple people with the Stealth skill!
STORY: Alejo, you come upon a firefight – four mercs are exchanging fire with three droids and an Odh security guard. Beyond them, you know, the gift shop is just around a corner. What do you do?
ALEJO: Can Alejo get behind the mercs, or at least one of them? Or is he on the driod/Odh side of things?
STORY: They’re positioned in such a way that it’s almost impossible to reach them without at least one person on one side to see you.
ALEJO: Alejo will target the nearest merc and rush him at top speed, attempting to drive him into the others, giving the guard and driods time to finish them off.
STORY: All right! Let’s do a Launch Assault.
ALEJO: /roll 2d6+1
STORY: ablair01 rolled 5 + 1 = 6
STORY: You launch yourself toward the closest merc, hoping your speed will beat their attention span, but something in your movement catches his eye and he turns to you, training his gun straight at you. You hear a loud pop and brace, then realize you haven’t been hit and the sound came from behind you at the same time the merc does – he adjusts his aim and fires.
STORY: Kahn, half hidden behind the corner, is tagged in the chest and falls to the ground.
STORY: What do you do?
ALEJO: How far is Alejo from Kahn and from the merc?
STORY: Probably midway between both – you can get to the merc before he fires again, or you can get back to Kahn.
ALEJO: Alejo will take out the merc.
STORY: You rush him and snap his neck, pushing him into the group – and for the moment, you’ve caused enough confusion to have an opening to get past this skirmish. What do you do?
ALEJO: Grab a gun and kill the mercs.
STORY: You take the dead merc’s rifle as he falls and with startling efficiency, they’re dead in moments, and the guards and bots are now screaming at you to drop the weapon, pointing their own at you.
ALEJO: Alejo shouts, “Help my friend, please,” and disappears into the gift shop.
STORY: They fire at you as you run – let’s have a FA + Mettle please
ALEJO: /roll 2d6+2
STORY: ablair01 rolled 7 + 2 = 9
STORY: You can slip out, but one of them’s going to tag you – where would you like to be hit?
ALEJO: Shoulder.
STORY: You’re nailed as you pass around the corner. Roll Brace for Impact for a severe injury please!
ALEJO: /roll 2d6+1
STORY: ablair01 rolled 8 + 1 = 9
STORY: You’re knocked forward as you run, stumbling a bit but getting your feet again. Your left arm mobility’s going to be limited until you get treatment, and if you keep going you’re liable to get hurt worse, but you’re clear around the corner.
STORY: Tueller! Jenny’s unconscious, her face smeared with soot and misted with what probably used to be that merc.
STORY: Sounds of battle are getting louder from the hallway behind you. What do you do?
TUELLER: Pick her up and run for the ship.
STORY: All right! I think this is going to be a straight up FA + Physique.
STORY: Save your friend, strong guy!
TUELLER: Does this help: “Ignore Clumsy Trait inflicted by Heavy Weapons, heavy armor, encumberance, and high gravity”
STORY: Oh for sure!
TUELLER: Oh right it’s called Heavy Lifting.
STORY: Why not take +1 for this roll
TUELLER: /roll 2d6+3
STORY: chris.stuart rolled 10 + 3 = 13
STORY: Well geez – you’re elegant as fuck dodging around corners and getting your friend home. Several security bots ignore you. You make it back to the ship first, and unhurt. The cargo bay ramp is down, what do you do?
TUELLER: How big are the hallways of the museum?
TUELLER: Let’s ask again. Would a battle tank fit through them?
STORY: lol
TUELLER: Obviously first Tueller sets Jenny down gently behind a pallet so she’s comfortable and doesn’t accidentally get shot.
STORY: Some of the areas, sure. Not all of them.
TUELLER: “Doc, what’s your status? And the rest of the team?”
STORY: Figgan’s in the cargo bay. “What the FUCK is going on?”
TUELLER: “At the ship, ready to help you exfil.”
TUELLER: “Fig it’s bad and we need to get out of here soon but with everyone.”
STORY: Millie, you’re riding Maitriback, you can answer.
STORY: Figgan nods and looks at Jenny. “She ok? I can’t carry her up.”
TUELLER: “Ready the ship for take-off. Maybe uncouple if you can do so subtly.”
TUELLER: “The blood isn’t hers. She caught a shockwave and probably has a concussion.”
STORY: She nods again, taking off for the stairs, punching a wall console on her way. “E, bridge, NOW!”
STORY: Figgan’s tearing up the steps to ready the ship for departure.
TUELLER: “Doc! Where the fuck are you and can I help?”
TUELLER: “You’re our ears, I need your guidance.”
MILLICENT: “Thasht and I are, ouch, would you be careful on the corners? You caught my ankle a nasty scrape back there. We’re en route. I’ll call for an update.”
TUELLER: Tueller starts readying the Gregor.
TUELLER: “I have a fucking tank where can I meet you.”
MILLICENT: To Figgin, “Ready for a quick getaway, please and thank you.”
MILLICENT: To Alejo, “Soto, come in, what’s your status?”
MILLICENT: Same to Kahn
MILLICENT: Millie looks around for a landmark
TUELLER: Tueller attempts to make a really ugly functional splint for his hand.
ALEJO: “Kahn and I will catch up. Get off this station and get that deck clear, Doctor.”
MILLICENT: To Soto, “Tueller has made it back to the ship and is loading up the Gregor. What’s your location?”
STORY: Millie, you’re in the section dedicated to the Maitri first contact with the Ark and the short but decisive war that followed. Figgan replies in the affirmative and there’s no answer from Kahn.
STORY: (The decision was that the Maitri and the Ark should probably avoid each other for a good long while.)
TUELLER: (Yeah, I want to spend some time in that room.)
MILLICENT: To Tueller, “Maitri first contact room.”
TUELLER: As early as possible, Tueller is peeling out with the Gregor.
ALEJO: “Too far out. Get off this goddamned station before you can’t. Fig knows the backup rendezvous point.”
TUELLER: “You’re almost out then. I’m on my way.
TUELLER: “Get out. Tell him that I need him. I need to be for him what he was for me when Nandini died. If that doesn’t get him….I don’t know.”
STORY: Thasht, still following Alejo’s orders, looks through the openings Tueller created and starts running Millie towards the ship.
TUELLER: “Tell him that. I only have space for three, and we need him and Kahn.”
TUELLER: “And if you know where he was going, that’d be helpful too.”
MILLICENT: Millie tries again. “Soto. Alejo. Whatever your name is. Tueller needs you to come back now. For him. He needs to be Nandini, but you’re dead? If I’m honest, I didn’t really catch it all.”
MILLICENT: “But he needs you. And.”
MILLICENT: Low, “So do I.”
MILLICENT: “Where are you?”
STORY: Alejo, you creep up towards the gift shop and see a clump of four men that make up what you assume is the command structure of this mercenary group. Two dozen mercs idle in this area, awaiting orders, checking the exits.
STORY: No one has spotted you yet.
STORY: What do you do?
ALEJO: Can Alejo tell who is in charge?
STORY: You can tell those four guys make up the bosses, not sure which one calls the shots.
ALEJO: Alejo whispers into the com, “Millie, contact station security. Tell them this gift shop is the headquarters. About two dozen bad guys and a load of equipment. They hit this hard, they can take the station back.” He pauses. “Tell them to wait for a distraction in five minutes and then hit is as hard as they can.”
ALEJO: He then looks to see what will make the biggest bang as a distraction in here without getting himself killed.
MILLICENT: “Uh uh uh” Millie looks around for a museum com or terminal
TUELLER: “Where is he, Millie?”
STORY: Millie, you can run back to the one you used before, or try to find a guard.
TUELLER: Tueller heads towards the main hallway, which is wider, so he can maneuver.
MILLICENT: “He’s at the central gift shop where the mercs are headquartered. He wants me to coordinate with station security to hit it in 5 minutes. He’s going to make a distraction.
MILLICENT: “Can, can we get there in 5 minutes?
ALEJO: “Tell Tueller . . . if he’s close with his tank, hit this gift shop.”
TUELLER: “On my way there.”
ALEJO: “Only way out is through. Tell him that.”
TUELLER: “I’ll be there in about three minutes but I’m not very quiet.”
MILLICENT: Millie settles back on Thasht. “Back to the nearest terminal, if you please.”
MILLICENT: To Alejo, “Tueller’s on his way. He’s coming in loud.”
MILLICENT: “About three minutes out.”
TUELLER: “Best exit is through the gift shop anyway. With these shoulders.”
ALEJO: Alejo positions himself to take full advantage of the loud entry. He’s going to take out three of the four leaders and try to wound the fourth.
STORY: Thasht holds your arm firm, Millie. “No.”
STORY: “Captain Soto ordered me to return you and the deck to the ship. We’re not leaving.”
TUELLER: “Any word from Kahn?”
MILLICENT: “I just spoke to Soto and he told me to alert station security about the gift shop.”
MILLICENT: “Also, I think you’re forgetting that captain is nearly an honorific on our ship.”
STORY: Thasht continues to drag you into the ship and sees Jenny, passed out. “Doctor.”
TUELLER: “Almost there.” To Millie on comms.
STORY: You see her too.
STORY: Alejo, you hear crashing sounds nearby. If you’re going to make a move, now’s time.
ALEJO: Alejo makes his move.
TUELLER: “Going in loud.” Tueller gets off the comm to Millie and triggers the exterior speakers on the Gregor.
TUELLER: “YOU MOTHER FUCKERS I’M FUCKING COMING FOR YOU.”
STORY: Alejo, are you doing this at range or up close?
ALEJO: As close as he can get.
TUELLER: Tueller crushes a display of plush Maitri with the Gregor and enters the gift shop.
ALEJO: Staying well away from whatever wall the sounds are coming from and engaging with the rifle.

STORY: Tueller, you can absolutely cause a sufficient distraction to help Alejo, but before you crash through the last wall, you see Kahn laying on the floor twenty meters down the last hallway, not moving.
STORY: Who do you help?
TUELLER: I’m so sorry Kahn, but it’s got to be Alejo.
STORY: All right. Tueller, tell us how you enter
STORY: Alejo, tell us how you get the situation under control.
TUELLER: Tueller rolls right into the gift shopping, scattering shelves of Viddean action figures and replica trossors statues and a particularly sharp geode that falls on a guy like a Iron Maiden and fucks him up, eventually noticing Alejo moving even faster than the Gregor, and goes to assist him, trampling and punching with the fists at everyone who isn’t Alejo.
ALEJO: Alejo shoots all four leaders, killing three and severely wounding the fourth. As he does, he rolls to cover, expecting to see the station guards to assaulting the remaining mercs. Instead, he just sees Tueller barreling through the wall. He begins picking off as many mercs as he can, dropping a number of them.
TUELLER: When Alejo does whatever it is he does, Tueller will do a skidding 180 and drop the rear gate open at Alejo’s feet. “Hop in. We need to pick up Kahn’s body and get the fuck out of here.”
